This family is a special one to ours. My husband, Michael grew up with Ashley and David and I met them after Michael and I started dating when we were in college. Ashley and I were actually next door neighbors in the dorm at UK and eventually we shared an apartment together where we planned our weddings and prepared to graduate college! We navigated early married life and pregnancies and life with newborns and toddlers together. Over the past decade we’ve added eight children to the world between us! It’s so sweet to have long-term friends. The older I get the more I realize those are a rarity so I’m trying to cherish them a little more than I used to.
Ashley and David recently had their fourth (fourth!) baby girl! They kept the sex of this baby a surprise until delivery and it just sounded right for the Harrison’s to add another girl to the mix when we got that early morning text. Ashley teaches dance and they are all in when it comes to costumes and princesses and tea parties… it is such a treat for my daughter to have play dates at their house, let me tell you!
Lydia is their oldest daughter and is such a phenomenal helper with the new baby – that was evident from the minute I walked in the door! All the sisters were so excited to show off their new baby and the only drama we had throughout our whole session was whose turn it was to hold her! It is just so sweet to watch a newborn… and even sweeter to watch big siblings who are still so young themselves care for and love on a new member.
Ashley and David, you all are so special to us! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture such a special time in your life… so grateful for all six of you Harrisons!
