Amy and Mark were one of the most relaxed couples I’ve ever seen on their wedding day. When you looked around at the location for their ceremony and reception it immediately causes you to slow down and take it all in… it was such a magical spot in the middle of nowhere Indiana. Really though, it was pretty far out in the country down a long gravel road and well beyond any cell reception (there is however a land line in case of emergencies which I find so charming). They celebrated at Marks family farm that this couple goes to almost every weekend – what a perfect place to bring all of their closest friends and family together as they joined their lives together. And as I spent more time with Amy and Mark it all just seemed to fit them perfectly. They just love being together. They are incredibly down to earth and kind. A chill country wedding was just perfect. And everyone in attendance got to put their phones away, take a breath of fresh air and enjoy being together.
So it seemed perfectly fitting for this country wedding that lots of time was spent around the fire pit drinking white claws before the ceremony, and lots of time spent in that same spot after the ceremony roasting smores and drinking home brewed beer. The whole day was spent outdoors and luckily the weather couldn’t have been better for this early fall wedding. On their programs it said, “We apologize if it rains today, Grandma Krieg said she felt like it wouldn’t and that was enough for us” More of that country charm that just makes you smile. They filled the day with the people most important to them and it caused this peace to settle over the whole day – it was so lovely.
Amy and Mark, what a treat it was to photograph your special day. You two are so perfectly matched – you can tell that right away! They are full of fun surprises too… one of my favorites was when I commented on her engagement ring she said. “oh Mark made it.” Seriously, what a special couple. Wishing you all the best Mr. and Mrs. Krieg… so very happy for you both!
