This family is one of my favorites. Ashley and I met in high school and immediately bonded in gym class when we realized we were both equally bad at all of the things. She was my closest friend throughout high school and college, we were roommates for years and were in each others weddings. She is such an amazing person and is just such a joy. She is such a light in my life and I know in countless others.
I know Justin from high school, too. We were in the same youth group at church and were friends because we share a love for sarcasm. After marriage but before kids we all lived in the same apartment complex and we saw these two on almost a daily basis. They are our some of our dearest friends and it has been so cool to see Ashley and Justin become a family of three!
These two moved to Honduras almost three years ago to be missionaries (check out their organization here). They are such remarkable people and we are so proud to call them friends. We saw each other for the first time in three years this past November and it was so cool. Admittedly, we’re not the best at long distance friendships so it is just so refreshing when you have those people that even though you don’t speak often you can jump in and it’s like no time has passed at all. Except for the addition of all the new little people running around 🙂
A lot of rambling here, it was so just cool to get to hang out with these two and meet their little one. It took about all of five minutes to fall in love with that little guy. And their party trick is asking him what animals say in spanish and in english and he responds to both. This kid is so cool already!
Thanks for hanging out with us, Guests. We love you more than we can say!
